"I remember making dinners at Glenora Church, before it closed. The kitchen was in the basement and had an open fire as a stove and a dirt floor. All the women would be in the kitchen, preparing the food. All the men were in the hall socializing. But when the food was ready, the women would sit down and the men would serve. It was a great tradition." ~ LR

"It was 1944. George Teskey was the student minister on the charge. After church on Sunday George and Bessie were the last ones to leave. They noticed a child asleep on one of the pews, so they took him home. I guess the parents forgot they had brought him to church." ~ BK

"When I was young I took my friend Cathy to church with me. We sat with an elderly parishioner who, on occasion, fell asleep during the service. This Sunday she did just that. She slumped to her right and her head rested on my friend Cathy's shoulder. As young girls we could hardly keep it under control, but we did. When we get together now, we still chuckle about that day." ~ Anonymous

"I was a brand new minister and it was my first day on the job. I drove up to the church and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my name on the door. Suddenly, the responsibility of being a minister hit me like a ton of bricks. My name was on the door! In that moment I understood what is meant by the phrase the fear of the Lord! ~ Rev. AM

"A walk-a-thon was organized possibly in the 1970s to raise money for renovating the church basement. The walk started at the church at Bongards Crossroads, thru to County Road #8, up to County Road #25, on to County Road #7, and to the church. Several took part in this and a fair good amount of money was raised. This was the time a wall was removed that ran east and west." ~ BK

"I was in the church hall on a chilly fall day when I heard some squeaking sounds coming from the back area. I walked over and saw a baby mouse. It was all by itself sitting in a sunbeam, I assume to warm itself up. It must have been quite cold because as I walked right up to it, it didn't move. It just looked up at me with its baby mouse eyes. I put a glass over it and took it safely outside. Cute little fella." ~ Anonymous

"In 1955, my sister Janet got married in Waupoos Church. The usher and I were the first to arrive at the church, and of course I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, until when I was walking my mother down the aisle, and I heard her whispering, "Where are the flowers?!" The florist took them to St. John's Anglican Church in Waupoos by mistake! ~ BK

"A meeting of the stewards was called to make changes in the sanctuary. Wanting to lower the ceiling, paint walls and new lighting. This was probably in the 1970s after the basement was renovated." ~ BK
