Stop and smell the lilacs

Greetings to the Friends, Neighbours and Members of Cressy Glenora Church,

How do we speak about the experiences of life that go beyond words? Experiences that move our hearts, bodies and souls deeply? For example, what words can describe the the scent of lilacs around the County. Or, the heart-burst of meeting a new baby. How can we describe we describe the crushing feeling of witnessing a tragedy? Or the belly-laugh of a really good joke shared amongst friends!

"I guess you had to be there..."

That's the phrase we use when we are trying to describe the indescribable to others. "Being there" is an essential part of the experience. Sometime being there *is* the experience... being totally tuned-in to the person, or wildlife, or situation around us. What emerges from this tuned-in presence can't be described with words, because it is a whole-being way of experiencing the moment. I hope during this long weekend you will have time to be fully present and tuned-in to yourself and to the world around you... to breathe deeply, to smile and soften, to let go of self-judgement, and to simply be. Have a wonderful long weekend everyone!

Blessings to you all, From, your student minister, Aaron
