Remember when we used to look forward to "snow days?" We'd get the day off of school. We'd put on our parka and toque. Maybe a parent would wrap a winter scarf all around our cute little face. Then come the mittens and snow pants. All bundled up, we'd waddle out the door ready for some winter fun! As I write this, the forecast for the coming days is for the heaviest snowfall of the year, in Prince Edward County and beyond. And so, you kids-of-all-ages... LET'S DECLARE AN ALL-AGES SNOW DAY! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to have some kind of fun with snow... to make the best of it! Maybe scoop some snow into a bowl then make a tiny snowman at your kitchen table. Or, take pictures of the beautiful snowy trees through your window. Or, how about opening your front door to take a few breaths of frosty air and to notice the tingle of snowflakes on your cheeks. Or, why not make a mug of coffee or hot chocolate then bundle up and enjoy it on your porch or patio while it snows? You don't have to go far—and you don't have to be young—to make nice memories on a snowy day. It just takes a wee spirit of adventure! VIDEO: "Dogs Rejoice in Snow" To help get us in the mood, here is a video of experts in snow appreciation. I hope this video makes you smile! Of course, we want to be safe in winter weather too. Here are some indoor/outdoor Winter Safety Tips from the government, to help guide you (if you should need). Let's take care of ourselves and each other! Oh, and if you take any photos of your snow day, please send them to me to share. Blessings to you all,
From, your student minister, Aaron
